The Last 10 Days…

Last week Friday (June 4th) we made the midnight drive to Pontiac, MI where we played a show Saturday afternoon on a stage surrounded by flowers and sitting directly in front of a beautiful lake. Sunday we had an amazing time in Martinsville, IN where we played a concert for 90 kids with Muscular Dystrophy. I got at least 45 mosquito bites that night but what a blessing it was to use our talents to bless others!

Monday and Tuesday night, 1000 Generations spent in rehearsal in preparation for a studio session on Wednesday night where we recorded a brand new song called “Overwhelmed.” I am super pumped about this song! Thursday we had yet another rehearsal and we finished off the weekend by celebrating Stevie’s one year birthday!

I can’t believe that she is already one!! It seems like just yesterday that I remember leaving the hospital thinking, “I can’t believe that they are letting us take her home! Do they know that we have NO CLUE what we are doing?!?!?”

We celebrated the end of this busy week by heading out to Steven’s dad’s lake house where I am currently typing as I sit by the lake while nursing a pretty intense sunburn 🙂 The weeks to come will bring their fair share of busyness as we will be releasing a new radio single and EP this summer! For now though, I’m living it up relaxing by the lake, eating cookies, and trying to take at least two naps a day!!
